McLaren 540C “C” for Coupé “(there will be a Spider version later …) runs on a Mclaren designed twin turbocharged V8 developing 540 PS at 7500 rpm and 540 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm, it is equipped with the Stop & Start system to offer standardized combined consumption (illusory) for less than 10 L/100 km!
The car is capable of doing 0-100 km/h in 3.5s, 0-200 km/h in 10.5s, its top speed is 320 km/h and weighs 1311 kg, 150 kg less than its closest rival according to McLaren.
The 540C differs aerodynamically from the 570S with some differences, new 19”and 20” inch wheels and a simplified rear diffuser.
The suspension has been compromised for a more road oriented use compared to the 570S.
